About Us
We grow lots of wholesome food in our market garden and on our carefully managed pastures. We have a team of Belgian draft horses to help with the chores involved in creating a sustainable, pesticide-free market garden and caring for pasture-based laying hens and Katahdin sheep. Meat from the grass-fed lambs is lean and mild tasting.

Our sourdough bread is handmade in small batches with the simplest of ingredients such as flour, sourdough starter, salt and well water. Many of the flavourings added to the bread come from our herb garden or wild apple trees. Other baked goods contain quality ingredients such as butter.

We encourage people to come and visit the farm and see how we steward this land and the creatures under our care. Bring your families, a camera, a picnic lunch if you like, and come enjoy fresh air and sunshine.

Ingredients
The sourdough bread contains flour, water, sourdough starter and salt. Various flavoured breads may contain herbs or dried apples or vegetables from the farm. Some may contain purchased nuts or raisins that will be specified in the name.

Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
Our garden is cared for by ecological practices that encompass the whole environment and natural networks. We use manure and green manures, cover crops, and natural amendments to keep the garden healthy. No chemical pesticides or fertilizers are used. Permaculture techniques keep the farm habitat welcoming for wildlife while allowing us to strive for efficiencies in the cultivated areas. Our livestock graze the pasture within fencing to keep out predators while the use of draft horses will reduce our reliance on non-renewable fuel.

The sourdough bread is lovingly made in small, artisanal batches in the farm kitchen. Baked goods are made with high-quality ingredients only, including real butter and chocolate.



Additional Information
We sell brown eggs from pasture-based chickens at the farm and we can be found Friday afternoons at the Eganville Farmers' Market from mid June to Thanksgiving weekend.
