Nature's massage oils for health and spirit About Us I make massage oils for helping the body deal with chronic conditions such as arthritis and traumatic injuries or just overuse of the joints and muscles from daily hard work. Other products include beeswax salve, essential oil air freshener, face cleanser, face moisturizer and massage oils for relaxation. I started this business more than 20 years ago and have added a few more products over time. A family member was my business partner in the beginning. She studied herbal manufacturing with Michael Vertolli at his school in Toronto. He is a leading herbalist in Canada and served as a consultant to Health Canada. My background is photography and writing about natural health and advocating for the environment and social justice. I learned how to make salve and massage oils by assisting in the harvesting and creation of products and together we set about helping people avoid chemicals and unhealthy pharmaceuticals in topical treatments. To increase my knowledge I did further training with a consultant who has a Phd in botany and a certificate in herbal manufacturing. For the last 10 years I have been grower, manufacturer, promotions, sales manager and chief bottle washer. Before this, right after high school, I graduated as a lab technologist from Fanshawe College and worked as a photo lab technician at the OPP headquarters forensic department in Toronto. Following precise formulas and quality control has been valuable for me to incorporate these good practices in manufacturing health products. After a few years I left lab work to go back to school to study journalism full time. After graduation I concentrated on writing about health and environment issues for publications in Toronto. I moved to Whitney 10 years ago. I chose this area to be close to Algonquin Park. Clean air and water and small town life is amazing here. I have been a member of the OVFC for a few years now and would like to share some of my items with you.
